Why don’t I receive any reminder/sound?

Android
To reliably receive notifications on your Android device, mediteo must be allowed to run in the background. This permission is requested when you first open the app.

Allow mediteo to send notifications: Android settings → Notifications → App settings → All apps → mediteo → on
From Android 12: Allow mediteo to create accurate alerts: Device Settings → Apps → mediteo → Alarms and Reminders → on
Disable battery optimizations for mediteo: Android Settings → Apps Notifications → Advanced → Special Access → Battery Optimization → All Apps → mediteo → Do not optimize
Enable background data for mediteo: Android Settings → Network Internet → Mobile Data → App Data Usage → mediteo → Background Data Usage → on
Disable data saving for mediteo: Android settings → Network Internet → Data saving mode → Unrestricted data access → mediteo → on
Disable Do Not Disturb: Android settings → Sounds vibration → Do not disturb → off Starting from Android 15: If mediteo is installed in the so-called private area, notifications cannot be displayed reliably. To remove mediteo from the private area, you must first uninstall mediteo and then reinstall it outside the private area. To secure your data, create a CLICKDOC Account before uninstalling and create a backup. After reinstalling, you can use the backup to restore your data in the app.

For sound:

Enable sound for reminders from mediteo: More → Settings → Reminders → Notification sound → Adjust: Click on the category whose sound you want to hear, e.g. “Reminders”. Make sure that “Show notifications” is on and that “Standard” is selected. For older versions of mediteo: more → Settings → Reminders → Notification sound → on
Set ringtones and notification tones loud enough in Android settings and disable “Silent”.

Depending on the manufacturer of your Android device, different settings may also be necessary to receive regular reminders. Our FAQs offer more information about Samsung, Huawei and Xiaomi. Disable “Do Not Disturb” in iOS settings. Starting from iOS 18: If mediteo is installed as a hidden app, notifications cannot be displayed reliably. How to avoid mediteo from being hidden: Open the app media library → Open the “hidden” folder with Face ID; Touch ID or passcode → Long tap on the mediteo app logo → Select “Do not request Face ID” (or Touch ID or passcode) → The app can now be found directly in the app media library again.

For sound:

Enable sound in mediteo: More → Settings → Reminders → Notification sound → on
Set ringtones and notification tones loud enough in iOS Settings and disable “Silent” (switch on the side of the device)
