mediteo’s FAQs

Why don’t I get any reminder/sound on Samsung?

To reliably receive notifications on your Android device, mediteo must be allowed to run in the background. This permission is requested when you first open the app. Depending on the manufacturer of your Android device, different settings may also be necessary to receive regular reminders.

For Samsung, the following points apply in particular:

Allow mediteo to send reminders:  Device settings → Notifications → mediteo → on

From Android 12: Allow mediteo to create accurate alerts: Device Settings → Apps → mediteo → Alarms and Reminders → on

Deactivate battery optimization for mediteo:

  • Device settings → Battery and device care → Battery → Background usage limits → Never sleeping apps → Add mediteo → Add
  • Device settings → Apps → Three dots menu top right → Special access → Optimise battery usage → mediteo → off

Activate background data usage for mediteo: Device settings → Apps → mediteo → Mobile data → Allow background data usage → on

Deactivate data saving for mediteo: Device settings → Apps → mediteo → Mobile data → Allow data usage while Data saver is on → off

Deactivate “Do not disturb”: Device settings → Sounds & Vibration → Do not disturb → off

For sound:

  • Enable sound on mediteo: More → Settings → Reminders → Notification sound → on
  • Set ringtones and notification tones loud enough in the device settings and disable “Silent”.
