To reliably receive notifications on your Android device, mediteo must be allowed to run in the background. This permission is requested when you first open the app. Depending on the manufacturer of your Android device, different settings may also be necessary to receive regular reminders.
The following points apply specifically to Huawei and Honor:
Allow mediteo to send reminders: Device settings → Notifications → mediteo →
- Allow notifications → on
- Notification type → Allow notifications → on
- Notification type → Banner → on
- Notification type → Lock screen notifications → on
- From Android 12: Allow mediteo to create accurate alerts: Device Settings → Apps → mediteo → Alarms and Reminders → on
Allow mediteo to run in the background: Device settings → Battery → App launch → mediteo → off → Manage manually:
- Auto-launch → on
- Secondary launch → on
- Run in background → on
- Deactivate battery optimization for mediteo: Device settings → Apps → Settings → Special app access → Ignore battery optimization → mediteo → Allow
- Activate background data for mediteo: Device settings → Apps → mediteo → Data usage → Background data → on
- Deactivate data saving for mediteo: Device settings → Wireless & networks → Mobile data → Data usage optimization → mediteo → off
- Deactivate “Do not disturb”: Device settings → Sounds & Vibration → Do not disturb → off
- Deactivate System Manager: Open the system Manager and tap on the gear icon → Smart Tune-Up → off
- Allow mediteo to run automatically when the device starts up:
Phone settings → Apps → App launch → Allow mediteo- In case the PowerGenie app is pre-installed on your Honor, please delete it.
For sound:
- Enable sound on mediteo: More → Settings → Reminders → Notification sound → on
- Set ringtones and notification tones loud enough in the device settings and disable “Silent”.
