5-01 How do all different reminders and notifications on mediteo work?

25. March 2021

mediteo sends you different reminders depending on different settings, which open the app on the right page when you tap on it. Moreover, most of the reminders offer direct actions which are frequently used. The following is a detailed explanation of how reminders work for iOS and Android operating systems.

iOS:

Intake reminder:

  • For every intake/measurement reminder/appointment reminder on the Daily you will receive a reminder at the set time.
  • You can confirm the intake directly through direct action (press and hold on the notification or swipe it to the left and then select the desired option) or you can postpone it through the snooze function.

Recurring reminders:

  • These reminders appear when an intake or reminder has not yet been confirmed.
  • Up to and including version 4.9.0: If you do not confirm the reminder within 10 minutes, you will receive a second reminder once.
  • Up to version 4.10.0: If you would like to receive additional notifications in case you have pending entries (e.g. an unconfirmed intake), you can edit the following in the settings:
    • More → Settings → Reminders → Recurring reminders → Only intakes OR All entries (not only intake reminders but also measurement and appointment reminders).
    • If there are any pending entries in mediteo, you will receive through this function additional notifications after 10, 30, 60, 100 and 150 minutes since the second reminder was received.

Refill reminder:

  • If you are monitoring your supply, you will receive a reminder when a medication supply is running low. If you do not refill the medication or ignore the reminder, you will receive a reminder again on the following day.
  • You can open the current supply through direct action or temporarily turn off further reminders for that supply.

Appointment reminder:

  • You will receive a reminder in advance for every appointment on your Daily. You will set the exact time for every appointment.

Measurement reminder:

  • For every measurement on the Daily you will receive a reminder at the set time.

Android:

Intake reminder:

  • For every intake/measurement reminder/appointment reminder on the Daily you will receive a reminder at the set time. If you do not confirm the reminder within 10 minutes, you will receive a second reminder once.
  • You can confirm the intake directly through direct action or you can postpone it through the snooze function.

Recurring reminders:

  • These reminders appear if an intake or reminder has not yet been marked as taken on mediteo even after the additional reminder 10 minutes later.
  • Up to version 4.7.0: If you would like to receive additional notifications in case you have pending entries (e.g. an unconfirmed intake), you can edit the following in the settings:
    • More → Settings → Reminders → Recurring reminders → Only intakes OR All entries (not only intake reminders but also measurement and appointment reminders).
    • If there are pending entries in mediteo, you will receive additional notifications after the second reminder approximately every 30 minutes and up to a maximum of 12 hours.
    • Please note that using this function leads to a higher battery consumption for some devices.

Updates:

  • With this type of notification we want to inform you about important topics, such as security updates that you should promptly activate on mediteo.
